IDENTIS WEEE,  the experimental project for recycling and recovery of WEEE: to track the correct disposal, to prevent their dispersion into the environment and to recover raw materials still usable. JOIN!

The European project IDENTIS WEEE (Identification Determination Traceability Integrated System for WEEE), aims to develop and test innovative devices for the collection and traceability of WEEE. The project is co-founded by the European Union under the “Life + Programme, Environmental policy and governance”, foresees a total budget of 3.5 milion euros

In line with the European directives on waste management, and in fact anticipating the upcoming European requirements on the topic, we aim at increasing the amount of separately collected WEEE in the countries involved (Italy, Spain and Romania), by developing specific devices for the collection of the different kinds of WEEE (from light bulbs to pc’s and refrigerators) as well as for monitoring and tracing their recycling/disposal process.
