The project NO.WA (NO Waste), funded under the “LIFE +” Programme, has as its main objective the development of a plan of prevention / waste reduction together with supermarket chains and the design of a “center of reuse” that retrieves the unsold or reusable materials.

The mass distribution can make a significant contribution to waste minimization as it can affect, for example, the packaging policies, and can help to increase environmental awareness among consumers exercising their purchasing decisions.

With the aim of identifying useful references for the development of project activities and develop good practices implemented successfully in other territories, in recent months we have identified the best Italian and European waste reduction in the commercial sector and reuse that will be analyzed in the “First meeting for the exchange of best practices and networking”, to be held January 17, 2013 in Milan, Via Carlo Poerio n. 39 (office of Environment Italy).
